As parents, we have to accept that we won’t be checking all the boxes all the time.

The Enneagram is a lens you can use with kids. It is a tool for spiritual formation and empathy.
Guiding Principles for Parenting:
- We will mess up with our kids but we need to be willing to apologize.
- It’s important to do our own work in our own life.
- We want to model the full human experience of emotion.
- People first.
How to help your kids discover their Enneagram number . . .
You may have a sense of what you think your kids are but let them identify it for themselves.
Hold it as a hypothesis. It is a process.
If you let them come to it on their own, they won’t feel labeled by you.
Intentional Practices:
- Regular assessment of work and schedules.
- Getting outside together.
