Hermie and Friends follows the adventures of a caterpillar named Hermie and his garden friends as they navigate their lives, learning important values that honor God – like love, honesty, and kindness. Max Lucado, author of the best selling book You Are Special, introduces each episode, ensuring that children walk away knowing more about God and important Biblical principles every time they watch Hermie. The show features the voices of Tim Conway (The Carol Burnett Show) and Don Knotts (The Andy Griffith Show).

The History of Hermie

Max Lucado first introduced Hermie in the form of an Easter sermon illustration. Since that sermon, the life of Hermie has grown into books, videos, and more! The video series started with a 40-minute special based on the book Hermie: A Common Caterpillar. After the success of the video special, they decided to produce an entire series about Hermie before he became a butterfly!

What Parents Should Know

On Minno, there are 16 episodes of Hermie and Friends – each one is 35-40 minutes long, teaches a Biblical lesson in a fun way, and features original music! Although Hermie was made for kids ages 4-7, younger and older children may enjoy it as well.
