The Rio Summer Olympics kick off this weekend, and what better way to celebrate than with a kid-friendly watch party the whole family can enjoy?

We’ve rounded up some of our favorite ways you can celebrate the Olympics and make the games super special for your kids. Some of our favorite childhood memories came from watching amazing Olympic moments … I’m sure you can think of a few yourself!

Here are our top 5 EASY ways to throw a kid-friendly Olympics watch party:

2. Decorate with world flags

We love the idea of using the Olympics to learn all about new countries! It’s a great opportunity to pull out your globe (or Google Maps!) and find countries as their athletes compete. Check out this free world flag printable to download the perfect party decor.

3. Make Olympic rings of fruit

4. Make Brazilian food

The summer Olympics are the perfect opportunity to try some new foods from Brazil, this year’s host country. Check out this Brazilian food slideshow from Epicurious for ideas … we think those chocolate brigadeiros would be a hit with the whole family! (We suggest substituting some yummy lemonade for the grown-up drinks they recommend 🙂 )

5. Olympics sidewalk chalk photo booth

We think this is the cutest kid photo booth we’ve seen in a while! Use sidewalk chalk to make different Olympic scenes, like swimming or gymnastics, and take pictures of kiddos posing like they are competing in those events. Adorable!
