Watch Micah! Days of Creation

Join Micah and his friends as they take on the Bible’s very first chapter—bringing grilled cheese mascots, T-Rex library rocket ships, and Scorchin’ Steve’s spicy peppers along for the ride.
It’s hilarious. It’s unexpected. And it helps kids see that the world God created in those first 7 days still connects with the one they are living in today.

Micah! Days of Creation

Day 1, Light – It’s hard, and sometimes a little scary, to find your way in the dark! When the power goes out on a rainy day, Micah and his friends search for a flashlight to help them complete a T-Rex Library Rocket Ship! They’re reminded of how the Bible is like a light for our lives, guiding us every step of the way.

Day 2, Air – There’s FREE grilled cheeses at the park, and Micah, Armin, and Lydia stop everything they’re doing to get there! But then Micah’s bike tire deflates on the way and runs out of air–something you can’t see but is the basis of life.  Micah’s reminded of God’s spirit – the air of our everyday lives – and with Armin and Lydia’s help, they inflate his tire and make it to the park for double-stacked, extra-extra cheese grilled cheeses.

Day 3, Plants – Micah’s ordered some seeds to grow some SCORCHIN’ peppers and to finally prove to his classmates he can handle spicy foods. After no growth, his friends remind him he needs good soil, water and sunshine – and voila! Micah’s reminded that just like plants grow with the right nutrients, we grow when we read the Bible and pray!

Day 4, Sun, Moon, and Stars – During solar system presentations in science class, the A/C goes out and everyone’s too hot to focus on anything. But when Dennis the Janitor tries to fix the thermostat, everyone freezes! Finally, everything gets fixed, and Micah’s reminded of how awesome God is: when God placed the sun, moon, and stars, he placed them perfectly… so fine-tuned that we wouldn’t melt OR freeze! Now, that’s something to be in awe of.

Day 5, Birds and Fish – Micah’s ready for a great school day, but when he realizes he’s misplaced his homework, he starts to spiral. That’s when he’s reminded by an unlikely companion that God will take care of him, and with God’s help, Micah finds a way to finish the day strong that nobody would’ve ever guessed.

Day 6, Animals and People – In art class, it’s self-portrait day! Ms. Petunia assigns the students to create something that reflects what makes them special. When Micah isn’t quite sure what makes him special, his friends remind him of who he is, and he remembers that he’s special–hot dogs, mustard stains and all–because God made him.

Day 7, Rest – When Micah and Chet are recruited by Coach Judy for the Annual Running of the Possum, they’re not sure exactly what they’re in for… but they’ll do anything to avoid detention. After training, who will outlast who? Micah remembers that God invites us to rest, just like he did on the seventh day of creation, and when we do, God will give us the strength for whatever comes next! Even the Running of the Possum!
