What is Minno Life?
Minno is more than a safe for kids, streaming video-on-demand platform. Minno Life provides Bible teaching tools, family devotionals, and expert parenting advice to help you lead your family in faith.
. . . . . . . . . . .
Being a parent today is hard! We have greater challenges and more information than ever before which can often leave us feeling overwhelmed and confused about how to guide our kids to grow with God at the center of their lives.
Parents need two things (besides utter and total dependence on God) to help our families thrive:
- Good and Godly insight from experts who share our faith and values.
- Encouragement and support from other parents.
That’s why we created Minno Life. We want you to feel good about the media choices you have for your kids but we also want to partner with you beyond the screen and into your everyday life.
Whether you want to know how to talk to your kids about faith or you need the 411 on the latest trend, we’ve got you covered. If you want tips and ideas on how to study the Bible with kids or need quick access to Bible verses about kindness, you can find it here.
Our hope is to help you and your family connect with God and each other as you experience His goodness and love.
You may be thinking, “That all sounds perfect, but life often gets in the way of my ability to keep up with the house and the schedules, let alone read the Bible or an article about raising kids today.”
We get it. We really do!
I’m a mom of two kids (ages 11 and 8). I work full-time and I volunteer in kids ministry at my church and on the middle-school PTO. On any given day, my kids have probably eaten way too much sugar, or they’ve had more screen time than I care to admit. We order pizza more than we should and our house is often a mess.
Parenting is not for the weak. But His strength is. I rely on Him daily and I know you do too.
Why Minno Life?
Minno is a modern spelling of the Greek word, Meno, which means, “to abide.” It’s taken from John 15 where Jesus Himself said,
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, [he] bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15: 5 ESV)
Everything you find here on the blog will help you and your family live an abiding life, connected to the One who has everything you need to thrive.
We can’t do life alone. We need Him. And we need each other.
We’re in this together,
Jess
