One of our family’s favorite things to do is read aloud together. As a matter of fact, reading aloud is a tradition that was passed down to me from both of my grandmothers and my mom. I have so many nostalgic memories of being read to as a child and am so grateful to have these memories with my own children.

Our family has also fallen in love with listening to audiobooks. Audiobooks are perfect for long trips in the car or on a plane. They are also great for children who may struggle to fall asleep at night or those who simply love the art of storytelling.

Now that summer is upon us, what better time to make memories reading aloud and listening to audiobooks as a family? There are so many wonderful books full of Christ-focused life lessons that help us train our children in the way they should go. Let’s take a look at some great book choices as you look to engage as a family this summer.
